The Perfect Playground offers SEIT Services. These services are provided by New York State licensed and certified special education teachers who have experience and training in special education and early childhood development.  SEIT services are available for children 3-5 years old who are classified by their school district's CPSE (Committee on Pre-school Special Education).

Services can be provided at various locations within the natural environment and community including your home, at your child’s pre-school, a local library or here at the center.  Determination of where services are to be provided is discussed at your child’s CPSE meeting. Our special education teachers will travel to your child’s location to provide these services according to the IEP.

A SEIT works in collaboration with the families, classroom teacher, classroom staff, and/or other therapists to meet the needs of each child. They provide direct, individualized instruction and modeling within the child’s natural setting. They strive to assist the regular classroom teacher in finding ways to address specific needs or concerns for a child on a day-to-day basis. They help to integrate a child into the classroom setting and encourage his/her independence. SIET services help empower your child and it provides a foundation for continued success with academics.
